This project is a draft investigation into the killing of Hala Rashid Abd al-Ati during the evacuation of Gaza City in November 2023. While Israeli authorities claimed Hamas fighters were responsible, our research used open-source evidence, satellite imagery, and spatial reconstruction to challenge this narrative.
The work involved geolocating video footage, verifying and mapping military vehicle images, integrating witness testimonies, and conducting audio analysis of gunshots. Using Blender for 3D reconstruction alongside GIS tools, we recreated the event’s environment to test movement, visibility, and line of fire.
This report is a preliminary investigation. More evidence and expert collaboration are required to establish a complete evidential timeline.
